Tukomacho

An anonymous map for reporting corruption patterns in Kenya.

Tukomacho lives inside LeadAfrik as a public-interest product. People submit reports privately, while the public sees only location and category density once enough reports cluster in the same area.

Public principle

Users contribute privately. The public sees patterns.

Tukomacho is not a public accusation board. It is a pattern-detection map designed to surface concentration, not expose people.

What stays private

Private notes never appear publicly. No names are collected, and the platform stores only a hashed connection fingerprint for rate limiting.

What becomes public

Only aggregate hotspots become visible, and only when at least three reports fall into the same area for the selected category and time window.

Public map

Corruption hotspots, not individual accusations.

The map shows only aggregated patterns. A location appears publicly only when at least 3 reports cluster in the same area.

No public hotspots are visible for the last 30 days filter yet. Reports still matter even before they meet the public threshold.

Submit privately

Add a report without exposing yourself or anyone else.

The form stores a hashed connection fingerprint for rate limiting, never a raw IP. Notes remain private and never appear on the public map.

Select a point first. You can use GPS or click anywhere on the Kenya map, then confirm the resolved ward before you submit.

Product rules

No names, no public report feed, no notes on the public map.

Only location and category density appear publicly, and only when at least three reports cluster in the same area.

Rate limiting is capped at five reports per connection per day using a stored hash, not a raw IP.
